Books You Should Read, Laundry Soap For Better Skin and Meat Subscriptions

Picking something to title these blog posts makes me use my brain more than actually writing these posts does. Obviously I was very clever with the title I picked for this one. Every day feels like it’s a Friday lately so I’m always confused about what day of the week it actually is. I could probably be a little more productive with my time at home and do some house projects but honestly I’m pretty much over those for right now. My current obsession is reading and browsing the internet for things I most definitely do NOT need. I just read UNTAMED by Glennon Doyle and I think everyone in the world should read it. She does such a great job talking about all the pressure humans feel to be everything to everyone instead of being true to themselves. Especially women. It would be a perfect mothers day gift if you need something last minute :)

My other latest obsession is laundry soap, my husband thinks I belong in a loony bin and honestly he probably isn’t wrong. Using a good laundry soap is so important for your skin, especially because it sits on your clothes, sheets, etc 24/7. I recently discovered Molly’s Suds laundry soap and I’m obsessed. It only contains 5 ingredients and it’s completely acne safe and has no added fragrance, just organic peppermint essential oil. Since I’ve had so much free time, which is unusual for me and honestly probably everyone. I’ve spent a lot of time researching things on the internet and a couple weeks ago I discovered you can order meat online, from other states, and it will make it to you still frozen. I guess it is 2020. I’m incredibly conscious about what we eat in our house because I know how much what you eat affects your body and brain (insert my husband’s eye roll here). I typically only buy meat if it’s 100 percent grass fed. Most animals are fed a grain based diet and you are what you eat, eats. Weird analogy but true. Most humans have some from of grain intolerance since we really weren’t designed to eat grains, they tend to cause a lot of unnecessary issues for people. Grains can affect your skin, joints, gut and the list goes on. We ordered from US Wellness meats and everything was SO GOOD. Their meat is 100 percent grass fed, you can see how their animals are raised, and they have an amazing assortment of different meat options. Fun Fact: They also have raw, full fat cheese which is the best option if you’re going to eat dairy because it contains conjugated linoleic acid and butyric acid which can help calm chronic inflammation, decrease heart disease and lower blood pressure. I haven’t tried their cheese yet but it’s on my list and I will report back. Short and sweet one today. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s out there. Bye kids!
